Extra Quality Preseason Tournament Update!

Ibrahim Akeem took Diadem Stallion FC to Semi-Final at the Extra Quality Preseason Tournament.

The Royal Blues begins the game on the intensity they style there knew them with. The procession kept switching between the two teams as Wilton FC displayed resilience as well. Both teams created several chances but their goalkeepers (William Shina of Diadem Stallion FC and Wilton FC goalkeeper) was busy at the goal posts saving great moves from both teams respectively.

Both teams failed to put the ball at the back of net at first half of the encounter after several attempts of shots of the clash.

Second half begins with introduction of Olajide Wasiu (super striker) and Odedele Monsuru for Olufemi Bakare and Okunlola Faruq respectively in order to strengthen the transition build-up of Diadem Stallion FC. With these introductions, the Wilson FC couldn’t withstand the tactics changed and the breakthrough came at the 68minutes of the encounter when Ibrahim Akeem of Diadem Stallion FC strikes powerful shot to the impossible angel for the goalkeeper to save and The Royal Blues took the lead.

“It’s an encounter of high intensity and we are mentally, tactically and physically ready. We displayed nothing but great football.  They had their moment but the solidified of our defense separate the two teams. The tactics exhibited was quite different from the first half” said Coach Adebayo Ayodeji of Diadem Stallion FC.
